WHERE DO YOU DELIVER? WHAT IS THE DELIVERY COST?
We deliver our hangers Australia wide at the flat rate of $9.90 per order. We deliver to New Zealand at the flat rate of $29.90 NZD per order. Our printed Offset Certificates are priced inclusive of postage.
WHAT ABOUT THE CARBON COST OF DELIVERY?
HOW EFFECTIVE ARE CARBON OFFSETS?
Carbon credits or offsets form part of the global efforts to move towards net zero carbon emissions. The best thing we can do is avoid or lower emissions, the next best thing we can do is to offset emissions to counter balance the carbon cost of the product or service we consume.
HOW ARE YOUR CLOTHING CARBON CREDITS CREATED?
We hold ACCUs (Australian Carbon Credit Units) which can be viewed on the the Australian national registry of emissions units (ANREU), administered by the Clean Energy Regulator. The hold VCUs (Verified Carbon Units) which can be viewed on the Verra Registry. The carbon units are held and retired by Fidium Pty Ltd (formerly named Go Fashion Neutral Pty Ltd) t/as Clothing Carbon Credits. For every 100 hangers or 30kg certificates sold, we retire 3 tonnes (3000kg) of carbon credits in the form of either 3 ACCUs or 3 VCUs. Once retired, no other person or entity can hold or retire the ACCUs or VCUs - they are used exclusively for one-time allocation as Clothing Carbon Credits (each with a value of 30kg CO2-e).
HOW CAN I TRUST THAT THE CARBON CREDITS ARE GENUINE AND ARE BEING RETIRED?
The ACCUs (Australian Carbon Credit Units) which we hold and retire can be viewed on the the Australian national registry of emissions units (ANREU), administered by the Clean Energy Regulator. The VCUs (Verified Carbon Units) which we hold and retire can be viewed on the Verra Registry. AS A CONSUMER WHAT CAN I DO TO LOWER MY FASHION FOOTPRINT?
The best way to lower your fashion footprint is to avoid or minimise emissions. You can make smart choices when it comes to buying long lasting garments and re-wearing them, by choosing garments made of eco-friendly material, by recycling clothes re-selling or donation, by washing & maintaining clothes in an enviro-friendly way, and by recycling unusable clothing so it doesn't end up in landfill (see for example in the Sydney area https://www.recyclesmart.com). To offset the residual carbon cost of your clothing, hang with us, to counter balance the carbon cost of your clothing.
